"It can feel like an overwhelming task picking out your very first device when you’ve made the decision to stop smoking. There are hundreds of different types of vapes all with their own specs and details.
The truth is that many of these devices could be perfect for you to start with, and we’re here to help explain why – so that you can make an informed decision.
We’ll break it down and explain what the device types you’ll come across are, as well as giving you a few devices that would be perfect for you to start with.

Cons
The pen-style device and the box mod are very similar types of device in that they both feature the standard components of a Vape. A battery, a tank, and a coil. However, for a beginner, we suggest going for the pen-style device.
Why do we suggest this style in particular?
Simply, because it’s easy to use. All you need to worry about is turning it on and off, filling it and vaping. No power settings, or screen to worry about, just three/five clicks, and you’re ready.
Alternatively, you can opt for what is known as a Pod system. Pods are designed to make vaping even simpler; they are small batteries that come with interchangeable pods that are either pre-filled with liquid (a closed system) or empty to fill with your own liquid (an open system). This replaces the tank and coil in a traditional vape. When the pod is empty, on a closed system, you throw it away and install a new one. You can refill an open pod system, but when it loses its flavour, you throw it away and install a new one. With this in mind let's take a look at some specific devices that
