T-Juice Vaping Terminology
Jargon can exist in any subject, and even in vaping there are terms that can be confusing to the newcomers to the subject. We've put together a vaping glossary to help all the newcomers talk like an OG cloud chaser in no time.
Airflow
How much air that can be sucked through the vape.
All Day Vape
A flavour of e-liquid suitable to vape all day without tiring of the flavour.
Amps
Measures the amount of current flowing through your device.
Atomizer
Part of the vape that holds the wick & coil.
Base Liquid
The base mixture to which other ingredients (nicotine & flavours) are added to create e-liquid.
Box Mod
A more 'advanced' vape. Larger unit, bigger battery, and with customisable parts & settings. Most commonly used by more experienced vapers, not always recommended for newcomers.

Clouds
The vapour exhaled.
Coil
A wire element that heats the liquid and vaporizes it.
Concentrated flavour bottles to be added to VG/PG.
Direct to Lung
Draws vapour from unit straight to lung without holding in the mouth. Allows for bigger clouds.
Disposables
Sometimes rechargeable, e-cigs that a user throws away after the cartridge empties.
Draw
A term to describe the act of inhaling vapor from the mouthpiece to your mouth.
Dry Hit
A drag of the e-cig where there is no e-juice left.
The liquid content in an e-cigarette, made from propylene glycol or vegetable glycerine. Also, e-juice, vape juice.
Flavour
What the e-liquid vapour tastes like. Can be broken into: Fruits, desserts, menthols, tobaccos and beverages.
Flooding
Too much liquid reaches the atomiser, creating duller flavour & a bubbling sound. Can potentially leak out through mouthpiece.
Freebase nicotine
Freebase nicotine is the original nicotine in e-liquids. It creates a strong throat hit, which can feel a bit too strong at super high nicotine strengths.
Long fill e-liquids come as 20ml of flavouring in a 60ml bottle, allowing the user to mix & create fully custom e-liquid.
MG
Amount of nicotine. Written as mg/mL (milligrams per millilitre). I.e., “6mg” is 6mg of nicotine per ml, or 0.8%.
Mouth to Lung
Most commonly used by ex-smokers, the vapour is drawn into the mouth then inhaled to the lungs.
Mouthpiece
The end from which users inhale vapor, the part that is held by the users lips.
The exact same form of nicotine found in tobacco. Nic Salts is the natural state of nicotine that is blended with liquid, more easily absorbed into the bloodstream.
Nic Shot
A bottle of nicotine mixed with PG/VG, and can only be added to nicotine 0 mg free e-liquid, also known as a nicotine booster.
NRT
Nicotine Replacement Therapy.
Ohm
The SI unit of electrical resistance, a lower ohm setting for coils means hotter and thicker vapour.
Pen
A type of e-cig that’s shaped like a pen, smaller, & carry less liquid than Box Mods.
PG
Propylene glycol, a thin, odourless and flavourless liquid. Carries flavours better, but creates less dense clouds
Pod
Pre-filled disposable tanks.
Short Fill
Shortfill refers to large bottles of e-liquid. As they contain no nicotine each bottle usually contains space for the user to 'shortfill' with a nicotine shot bottle.
A basic, minimal package with all the essentials needed to start vaping.
Steeping
Letting newly mixed e-juice rest for a period to let the ingredients settle.
Tank
Holds the e-liquid and allow it to soak into the wick. Is clear, made of glass or plastic.
Throat hit
This is the sensation that you feel when you inhale nicotine, is influenced by the nicotine content, temperature of vape and type of juice.
T-Juice
A UK vape company and your one-stop shop for premium e-liquids.
Sub-Ohm
When the atomizer's resistance falls lower than 1ohms. Allows for faster electrical current, & huge clouds.
Vaping Glossary
Vaping terms and definitions.
Vaporized
To turn e-juice into an inhalable cloud by heating over a coil.
Vapours Tongue
Refers to the dulling of taste, mainly due to intense vaping or smoking the same e-liquid for a long period of time.
VG
Vegetable Glycerine, slightly thicker in consistency and has a slightly sweet flavour. Makes for huge clouds, and gentler throat hit.
Wattage
The amount of power consumed by the atomizer coil. The higher the wattage, the more vapour is produced.
Wick
The material wrapped around the heating coil that soaks e-liquid for further evaporating. Usually made of organic cotton.
Zero Nic
