Picking The Right E-liquid For You

Picking the right e-liquid is vital to getting the most out of your vaping experience. Not only does your e-liquid have to suit your particular mod and provide the amount of nicotine you need, but it’s also important that it reflects your tastes. With many aspects to consider when choosing the right e-liquid, it can be a bit of a minefield – especially if you’re new to vaping. We’ve created a guide on picking e-liquids to get you off the ground.

Flavour – Always comes first

The first and most important thing to consider when choosing an e-liquid is flavour. We offer every flavour you could possibly think of from fruits, tobacco, gin, lime and lemongrass, aniseed and custard– there really is something for everyone!

Another important bit of advice is to make sure you always have one flavour you know you like. Making sure you have plenty of your favourite e-juice, means that you can experiment with smaller samples of flavours whilst making sure that you don’t run out of e-liquid!

Also, whilst it’s very tempting (especially when you start vaping) don’t waste your money on cheaper products. Cheaper e-liquids will be chucked in the bin or left in a draw somewhere when they don’t hit the mark – trust us, we’ve all been there! High-quality products are the way to go. Simple.


PG and VG – Made easy

This is one of the more confusing parts of vaping, especially for people that are new to vaping. Here’s a really simple guide to understand all that you really need to know about the two.

PG (Propylene Glycol):

  •       Thin consistency
  •       Does not alter flavour
  •       Stronger throat hit
  •       Less vapour

VG (Vegetable Glycerin):

  •       Thick consistency
  •       Makes flavour sweeter but more diluted
  •       Less throat hit (smoother)
  •       More vapour

Nicotine – How much is enough?

Getting the right nicotine strength is very important because if you don’t have enough, you’ll vape more to compensate, and if you have too much, you’ll get headaches and feel sick. We’ve done a cigarette comparison to make it easy to know what will suit you best:

  •       Zero: 0mg – not an ex-smoker (vaper)
  •       Low: 6mg and below – Half a pack a day or less (for light smokers)
  •       Medium: 9mg and 12mg – Half a pack to one pack a day (for average smokers)
  •       High: 18mg to 36mg – Two packs a day or more (heavy chain smokers)

It’s good to remember that vapers that never smoked often vape zero-nicotine e-liquids, and ex-smokers who convert to vaping can reduce their nicotine levels as and when they are ready. A good rule of thumb is to start at a medium strength and adjust accordingly.

It can take an investment of time and effort to find the perfect e-liquid for you but remember that part of the fun of vaping is trying new things, so don’t be afraid to try out different flavours and brands. Once you’ve had a few experiments with flavours, nicotine and PG/VG, you’ll get into a rhythm and become a true e-liquid expert!
