T-Juice Explains: What Is Vaping?
T-Juice Explains: What Is Vaping?
"Vaping is the act of inhaling vapour which has been created by an electronic cigarette device. The device is powered by a battery that heats a liquid containing nicotine, flavouring and vegetable compounds into a vapour, which is then inhaled. Usually, people vape as a way to quit cigarettes. Here’s a full breakdown:

Do you inhale vape?

Yes, you inhale vapour from your vape device. This is known as vaping. There are two typical methods for inhaling vapour:
  • (MTL) ‘mouth to lung’, where the user will hold the vapour in their mouth before inhaling into your lungs in a similar fashion to smoking a cigarette.

  • (DTL) ‘direct to lung’ where the vapour is inhaled directly into the lungs.
Different e-liquids and different vaping devices will be better suited to either a MTL or DTL inhale.

Does vape have nicotine?

More often than not, yes. E-liquids are supplied in a range of nicotine strengths. Ranging from zero nicotine to a maximum nicotine strength that will vary depending on the country of sale.   In most European countries (including the UK), the maximum nicotine strength of e-liquids is limited to 20mg/ml. There is also a common misconception that nicotine itself is a carcinogenic chemical. this is due to its intrinsic link to smoking tobacco. A recent survey by Public Health England found that nearly half of smokers incorrectly believe nicotine causes most of the tobacco smoking-related cancer. All while evidence shows that this is not the case.

What is in vape juice?

All T-Juice liquids are made from four main ingredients: propylene glycol (PG), vegetable glycerine (VG), flavourings, and nicotine (though nicotine-free e-liquids are also available). We only use pharmaceutical grade diluents and nicotine in our T-juice products. We're also leading the vaping industry in the creation of ‘Vape Grade’ flavourings.

How long does e-liquid last?

A normal shelf-life for an e-liquid is between 1 and 2 years based on the below.   Each e-liquid is different. This is mainly due to the different ratios of PG and VG, the nicotine strength, the flavourings that are used and whether they contain water or not. These factors will affect how long an e-liquid ‘stays good’ for. The way that e-liquids are stored will also significantly affect their lifespan. You should always follow instructions on safe storage of your e-liquids. This is included in the product’s leaflet. Generally speaking cool, dark places will make sure that your e-liquids last longer.

How much does e-liquid cost?

This will depend on a number of factors. These factors include bottle size, and whether the product is ready to vape. As a general rule, pre-mixed e-liquids are more expensive per ml than creating your own. Take a look at our e-liquids and our DIY selection for more information.

What is a vape mod?

A vape mod usually refers to the larger part of a vaping device, which houses the battery that powers the device. These come in all different shapes and sizes. Different mods are better suited to beginner, intermediate, and advanced users. Take a look at our full range of vape kits.

What is the legal age to vape?

In the UK (and most of Europe) you must be over 18 years old to purchase e-liquids. However, this will vary from country to country.   T-Juice will always comply with local age restriction legislation.
